Who is Allan Torres Camba?

Allan Torres Camba, RPA is a Filipino educator, anthropologist/archaeologist, cultural researcher, and civic education lecturer whose work bridges the ancient and the contemporary. Born in Masidem, Bani, Pangasinan, he grew up in a tight-knit riverside village where early experiences teaching neighborhood children sparked a lifelong passion for education, identity, and cultural history.

Camba is the founder of KULTURA Academy, a cultural education and professional development initiative that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic and grew into a significant platform for Baybayin and Philippine heritage studies. He is a Registered Professional Archaeologist and an NBDB-accredited author and illustrator.

He holds an ALM in Anthropology and Archaeology from Harvard University, where his thesis became the second most-viewed paper in the Department of Continuing Education within the Harvard DASH repository for several years after publication. His academic work spans Levantine archaeology, Aegean epigraphy, indigenous writing systems, and the role of cultural identity in Filipino diaspora communities.

His field training includes excavations at Tel Hazor with the University of Haifa, epigraphy training in Greece through the Hellenic Education & Research Center, and biblical and archaeological studies at the University of Oxford. Camba has taught high school, civic education, elementary grades, and special education across Guam, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Washington State.

Today, Camba continues to integrate anthropology/archaeology, education, and cultural heritage work, advocating for indigenous knowledge systems, identity formation, and accessible learning for all ages.
